Free with adult and senior admission.
Available in English, Spanish, French, German, Italian and Vietnamese. Features music, history and storytelling about California history and uncovers the Jewel of the missions.

Audio Tour For Children
Saved by the Mission Bell:
A Child’s Journey Through California’s History
Free with child admission.
Available in English and Spanish. This humorous and imaginative audio tour is designed to engage 4th graders, but appropriate for children of all ages.

Swallows Walk & Talk Tour
New! Beginning Friday, March 1
Daily at 1:00 p.m.

Learn the facts about cliff swallows, view the swallows vocalization experiment and hear the legend of the Swallows of Capistrano.

Serra Chapel Tour
New! Beginning Sunday, March 3
Every Sunday at 11:15 a.m.

In honor of Father Serra's 300th birthday celebration, tour the Serra Chapel, the oldest operating church in California. Father Serra celebrated Mass in this chapel in 1783.

Daily Guided Tour
For individuals wanting to enhance their experience through an interpretive tour. These drop in tours are available Monday through Friday at 11:15 a.m. and do not require an advance reservation. Minimum group size needed to proceed.

Weekend Guided Tour
For individuals wanting to enhance their experience through an interpretive tour. These drop in tours are Saturdays at 11:15 a.m. and 2:15 p.m. and on Sundays at 2:15 p.m. and do not require an advance reservation. Minimum group size needed to proceed.

Specifically designed for tour companies and group tours to experience two great historic venues at a discounted rate.

Docent Guided Tour
Docent guided tours truly enhance your experience at the Mission, our docents dressed in their historic attire do a wonderful job of hosting you through the 10 acres of museum rooms, exhibits, gardens, fountains and more. These tours are offered daily. Availability is limited, book in advance.

Garden Tour
Wednesdays, 10:15 a.m. and at 10:45 a.m.

Self Guided Group Tour
The advantage of booking a self-guided group tour is a discount to adult admission, a cost savings of up to $2 per person.

Executive Director Tour
A chance to take a small group tour with the Mission's Executive Director and learn about the details "Behind the Scene" at the Mission. These tours are offered every first Thursday of the month. Advance reservation is required.

The Mission averages group sizes for students of 20-25 in addition to teachers and chaperones. We hope you enjoy your minimum one hour tour. Group size is subject to change based upon availability of the volunteer docents.

Cancellation/Rescheduling Policy: If you need to cancel or reschedule your tour you must provide 10 business days notice prior to the date of your scheduled tour or you will be billed. (Exceptions may be made due to weather conditions.) Please contact Group Sales Department, Monday thru Friday, 8:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m. by phone at (949) 234-1306. When canceling a tour, please keep for your records the date you canceled, the name of the person you spoke with, and your cancellation number. No shows will be billed.
