School Year Tours and Education Classes Now and Receive
Free Mission membership for a year for yourself
if you sign up prior to June 15, 2008 and take your tour before
November 30, 2008. Four free student admissions if you book
and take your tour prior to November 30, 2008 Receive a free
mission matters class if you book and take your tour prior
to October 15, 2008

Tours at Mission San Juan Capistrano
Group tours consist of 15 people or more in your group. The Mission
requires advance reservations and deposit for all group tours. There
is a discount on admission for tours.
Self-guided Group Tours:
Unguided student field trip and adult tours are available daily
with advanced reservation and deposit. Teachers and chaperones will
receive a Mission Map & Guide to help direct their group around
the Mission. Please book with as much advance notice as possible,
as space is limited. All students receive a free Mission Passport
Explorer with their self-guided tour.
The price for unguided group tours with 15 or more people is:
Adults: $6 per person, with additional $2 option for audio players
as available.
Student: $6 per person, includes Passport Explorer. Same price applies
to adults and chaperones.
Guided Tours:
Docent guided tours are offered daily with advanced reservation
and deposit. It is recommended to call early for the best availability.
Docent guided tours are approximately 1-1 ½ hours and are available
on a limited basis. Students receive a Mission Passport Explorer
with tour.
The price for docent guided group tours is as follows:
Adult: $8 per person.
Student: $8 per person, includes Passport Explorer. Same price applies
to adults and chaperones.
Now Available:
Digital Podcast / Audio Tour - The Mission now offers a free
podcast tour in both English and Spanish. Click
here to help make your visit more informative. Each general
admission for seniors and adults (not tour groups) includes a free
Audio Player / Audio Tour. Teachers should refer students who are
visiting with their parents as part of their Mission studies to
this and/or the free podcast.
Cancellation/Rescheduling Policy:
If you need to cancel or reschedule your tour you must provide 10
business days notice prior to the date of your scheduled tour or
you will be billed. (Exceptions may be made due to weather conditions.)
Please contact the Visitor Center Monday - Friday, 7:00 a.m.- 5:00
p.m. by phone at (949) 234-1318 or (949) 234-1306. When canceling
a tour, please keep for your record the date you canceled, the name
of the person you spoke with, and your cancellation number. No shows
will be billed!
