Mission San Juan Capistrano, with the generous support of the Thomas J. and Erma Jean Tracy Family Foundation, is proud to present the Thirteenth Annual Battle of the Mariachis Festival on Saturday, May 13, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Join us in the beautiful Mission Courtyard for this highly-anticipated celebration of talent, interpretation and inspiration of Mariachi music.
This exciting day features live music performances by mariachi groups from across Southern California and beyond as they compete on stage for cash prizes before a panel of distinguished judges. Festival highlights also include: ringing of the historic Mission bells, a special performance of the National Anthem, performances by Ballet Folklorico de San Juan Capistrano, bilingual marionette shows by Franklin Haynes Marionettes and gourmet Mexican food vendors.
