The following check list is helpful for teachers planning their field trip.
- Schedule early by phone, online, or fax. Allow 72 hours
for processing and return calls during peak periods, do not call
repeatedly. Docents are limited to 11 per day, so early reservations
are recommended. Fall tours are recommended because it is not
peak period and less crowded. Click
here to access the registration form.
- Pay your 50% deposit as soon as possible and receive your confirmation
by email, save all paperwork for future reference.
- Expect a call from our Education and Interpretive Programs Manager,
Megan Dukett, if you are taking any educational courses along
with your visit.
- Arrive no more than 15 minutes early. If you are an early arrival,
please have students wait inside the buses, at the local park,
or safely on sidewalk. The Mission staggers group arrivals to
avoid or reduce conflicts in museum rooms.
- Bring your final payment to front gate upon arrival, go to
"Tour " window, and settle payment to process check in.
- Use one of our "Free Lunch Wagons " to deliver your lunches
to our picnic area. Please kindly return to Front Gate immediately
after delivery. Do not leave wagons at picnic area.
- Have your students organized and wearing name tags/badges.
Self-guided students will receive a 2 minute welcome from our
Ambassador orienting them to the site and sharing with them our
guidelines for expected behavior at Orange County 's only Mission.
- If you are taking the self-guided tour, distribute your free
Passport Explorers to each of your students upon arrival, immediately
following the Ambassador 's welcome.
- If you are taking the Docent Guided tour, please enjoy your
free Passport Explorers after your Docent has finished giving
the tour.

of history at Orange County 's only Mission.
