The Mission's Adopt-A-Class Program was spearheaded in 2005 to help underserved children to be able to take part in the hands on learning that a field trip to Mission San Juan Capistrano can provide. The program funds a day at the Mission for underserved children. No funding by school districts and the expense of transportation frequently makes this experience impossible for Fourth Grade students. The average class of 30 students needs $360.00 for the tour and, an average of an additional $500.00 for transportation. 100% of donations are used to fund student visits.
