Mission San Juan Capistrano Artifacts Council

Exhibition, education, conservation, preservation and acquisitions are the goals of Mission San Juan Capistrano Arts & Artifacts Council.  Membership invites all those interested in history; design, construction and hands-on creation of exhibit spaces and period rooms.

The Artifacts Council seeks to engage appealing speakers and coordinate lecture series with exhibitions and other projects.  Members are also involved in seeking historically appropriate acquisitions and fundraising endeavors.

Rotating exhibits pertain to the history of California, however, some Museum exhibits include areas of broader interests such as fine arts [plein-aire paintings], personalities [Abraham Lincoln], architecture [adobe structures and the Great Stone Church], landscape [Mission Gardens], period clothing [Living History] and / or the decorative arts [furniture, textiles, etc.]

Knowledge that a unique piece of history still exists is only the fist small step.  The piece must be located, conditions of sale or exhibition, and other questions answered.
