Mission San Juan Capistrano, with the generous support of the Thomas J. and Erma Jean Tracy Family Foundation, is proud to present the Eleventh Annual Battle of the Mariachis Festival on Saturday, May 9, 2015 from 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Join us in the beautiful Mission Courtyard for this highly-anticipated celebration of talent, interpretation and inspiration of Mariachi music.
This exciting day features live music performances by mariachi groups from across Southern California and beyond as they compete on stage for cash prizes before a panel of distinguished judges. Festival highlights also include: ringing of the historic Mission bells, a special performance of the National Anthem, performances by Ballet Folklorico de San Juan Capistrano, bilingual marionette shows and exhibition performances by local Capistrano Community Mariachi Program. There is a limited number of individual admission tickets, and tickets are expected to sell out! To maintain a safe, accessible and enjoyable environment, admission tickets will no longer be sold when limit is reached. Purchase tickets early and in advance to ensure admission to the festival!

The Battle of the Mariachis Festival features a variety of excellent food vendors! Check back in March to see the 2015 participating Food Vendors announced!
Guests are encouraged to purchase food inside the Mission at the many food vendors onsite for the event. Outside food, small cooler bags and small carrying coolers are permissible. Rolling coolers are NOT permitted.
ALCOHOL IS PROHIBITED from being brought into, sold or consumed at the Battle of the Mariachis Festival. In order to maintain a safe and family-friendly environment for this special event held at a historic and religious landmark, alcohol is NOT permitted.
The Battle of the Mariachis Festival is an incredible performance opportunity for young mariachi musicians! All semi-professional youth mariachi groups are invited to participate.
