John Hodge, Guest Services and Operations Manager
John Hodge has been with Mission San Juan Capistrano since 2010 and serves as the Guest Services and Operations Manager. His responsibilities are to ensure that all guests have an enjoyable experience while on the grounds, including the thousands of children who come for field trips.
Hodge also manages the day-to-day operations, which includes field trips, guided tours, audio tours, general admission guests, and the employees in the Guest Services Department.
Hodge, who has a degree in criminal justice from the University of Phoenix, worked as Operations Manager for Knott's Berry Farm before coming to the Mission.
Hodge is a member of the IAAPA and is a Private Patrol Operator through the Bureau of Security and Investigative Services. Hodge lives in Canyon Lake with his wife and three daughters and another on the way. He loves to spend time with his family and describes himself as a huge Lakers fan.
"My favorite thing about working at the Mission is our guests and knowing we make a difference especially to a 4th grader who may have been inspired by a trip here. I think that is our most important job and something I really enjoy. We’re not just a tourist attraction, but a place that inspires people and that is what makes the Mission unique."
