Barb Beier, Development Director

Development Director Barb Beier has been with Mission San Juan Capistrano for more than eight years. Her primary duties are relationship building, donor stewardship and inviting financial support for Preservation and Educational Programs to ensure that they are ongoing for future generations to enjoy the Mission. She manages the annual Romance of the Mission Gala with great success.

Beier earned a Bachelor of Arts degree and a teaching credential from the University of Northern Colorado, where she also has done graduate work.

She is an Orange County Tourism Board member and is a Junior League member.

Beier, who enjoys antique collecting and refinishing, reading and gardening, is married with two grown children and three grandchildren. She's a Colorado native and has also lived in New Mexico, Washington, Nevada and now California.

"My favorite thing about my job is connecting with our supporters and hearing individual stories of how the mission impacted their lives when they visited. For some it was decades ago and for others it is just days ago. I also love seeing the excitement on the faces of students here experiencing hands-on learning and talking to our diverse visitors."
